ALL ABOUT THE RIDES

Coachman's is open Thursday to Sunday in the winter and Wednesday to Sunday the rest of the year (we are shut over the Christmas holidays). Office hours are from 9am to 6pm on Tue-Fri , 8am to 4pm on a Saturday and 8am to 3pm on
Sundays. We would be grateful if you would not call us outside these times unless it is important, you can always e-mail us, see the

Page for details. If you get the answer machine please leave a message and we will get back to you.
Please note that it is a good idea to arrive on site at least 10 minutes before your lesson is due to start to give time for payment,
hat fitting etc. and getting yourself to the stable yard. If it's your first time you will need a few minutes longer to fill in the necessary paperwork.
I'm afraid we do not accept debit/credit cards at the moment, only cash or cheques with a guarantee card.

Unfortunately we cannot take children under 4 years old.
Child rates are for ages 4-9yrs. Junior rates for ages 10-16yrs. Adult rates for 16 years and older.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are with a few others of a similar standard in one lesson. They take place either in our 40m x 20m manege, or our smaller manege for the children's lessons.
We like to keep the rides small, 8 or less per lesson. Sometimes we may go out for a hack for all or part of the lesson.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are one-to-one, again usually in our 40m x 20m manege, but possibly in the mini-manege for children or during the weekends when the
main arena is fully booked.

Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-Private lessons are with groups of 2 or 3 persons. For 2 persons the lesson is 40 minutes long, for 3 persons it is 50 minutes.

Hacks
These are along the quiet bridleways and country roads around Coachman's.
The 3 hour ride gives time to go up to Rhosesmor and have a canter and maybe a gallop across the moors, or rides along some of
the local bridleways.
Inexperienced riders will be led by a walking helper if required. With more experienced rides the leader will be mounted too.
Please note that if first time riders with CRS do not wish to have a walking leader they will be required to be assessed in the manege prior
to the hack for safety reasons.

Pony Days
Available for riders with different levels of horse knowledge. For ages 6 years old and upwards. Come for the day (9:00am to 3:00pm) and join in the working routine of the stables. The day includes lessons in stable management, a ride, quizzes and much more. Bring a packed lunch.
Usually only available during school holidays.

Mini-Pony Days
Aimed at young children from 4 years to 6 years old. Come 10:00am to 12:30pm and join in the fun. Groom the ponies, have a ride. Usually only available during school holidays.

Beach Rides
Join us for a ride along the beach and in to the dunes. If the weather is good we swim with the horses in the sea.
Starting at Coachman's we take you there and back in our horsebox and trailer. The whole trip lasts about 4 hours.
Usually only available Summer time only, but ring to check.

Pony Weeks
These are for 5 days from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm. During that time you join in with the routines of the stables
and ride each day. Additionally we have a beach ride, a competition day and a
day ride (all dependant upon weather etc.). Available during summer holiday period only.

Pony Parties
Come and bring your friends for your birthday party at Coachman's. You'll groom the ponies, tack them up and go for a ride.
Then untack them, brush off and maybe take them out to the field or feed them. Everbody gets a rosette to remember their time
with the ponies. We can also do party food and party bags. Just tell us what you want or how much you want to spend and we'll
sort it out. Teatime will be on top of the 1 1/2hr so about 2 hours altogether.
